The Mission Style: Craftsman wall sconces have a distinct basic style with strong structure, clean lines, and organic materials such as mica, wood, and copper. It focuses on a handmade look in contract to a factory reproduction. The Mission style emerged from the Arts and Crafts period and is still quite popular today. This style has primitive, plain lines and usually displays darker, warmer finishes.
Modern Sconces: The styles are generally purposeful, straight lines with little decoration of the metal and glass accents which will create a mood of opulence. Many available in polished chrome and antique bronzes.
Aside from these highly utilitarian uses, sconces mounted on outside walls are simply appealing, accentuating yard features or seating areas and providing a stylistically refined solution for contemporary exterior lighting needs.
