Exterior sconce can be used to illuminate paths or the sides of your home. They can help you accent your home‘s best features. Let‘s say you have an arch, some pillars or other beautiful architectural features on the outside of your home. Use sconce to bring that out at night.
Decorating rooms with sconces can embellish the life of any room in the home. Sconces are the perfect fit for adding accent lighting and mood in foyers, bathrooms, hallways, bedrooms, sprucing up negative space and focusing on special elements such as artwork. There is literally no space in the interior or exterior of the home where sconces can’t do magic. Negative space is an area on the wall that doesn’t really contribute any functional view to the room and basically looks sparse. You could add a mirror to this negative space and pair both sides with the accent lighting of sconces and magically this space is no longer "negative". This same decorative look can be accomplished above a master bed or above a fireplace. The decorating possibilities are boundless!
There are a variety of places where one can find candle wall sconces. They can be found at retail lighting stores, discount stores and online stores. If you happen to be the creative type and are crafty with home decor items, you could fashion your own sconces. Candle wall sconces can be made out of anything that can safely hold flame and then mounted wherever you desire. Crafting your own sconces will allow you to create a unique decor and separate you from typical designs.
Candle sconces also differ in size. They typically have a height 15 inches and project 7 inches from the wall. The price of candle sconces may range anywhere from $60 to more than $100. Brass sconces are really a good addition to anyone‘s home. It can be a great heirloom too, which can be passed on from generation to generation.
Normally they are not super bright. They are just subtle and give off just enough light to add a little accent here and there and to provide just enough light to see where one's going. So maybe today you walk around the side of your house on a path you‘ve created, but at night you stumble through the dark trying to get to your backyard!
